No matter what is your plant towards this coming holiday, below are some tips that can guide you with your decision.
Tips on Room Reservation
Do not share a room
Parents and children are advise to separate rooms. "The family that sleeps together...hates each other in the morning". Cramming the whole bunch into 400 square feet of hotel hardly seems liks a vacation. I suggest you check out an all-suite hotel, or ask a standard-room hotel if they offer multi-room discounts.
Get connecting rooms.
In hotel speak, connecting rooms means there's a door leading directly from your room to the kid room. Adjoining only means you'll be next to each other making reservations.
Talk to the person in charge.
Some hotels would not guarantee a particular room arrangement(such as connecting) at booking. If so, call the front desk to plead your case. If you still can't get asssurances book elsewhere.
Ask about family suites.
Not all hotels suites are presidentiall priced. Some like the new breed of family suites offered at a growing number of places, are more moderate. Reservations agents would not often check inventory unless you ask.
Suite
If you decide on suite, check and define them. All suites are not created equally. Sometimes a junior suite is merely an L-shaped room with a sitting area, meaning you won't have tht all-important door separating you from the kid. Ask questions before you book if the suite with two separate rooms.
