Miri Sarawak

Another fast growing town in Sarawak, Miri is the wonderful place to travel. Sarawak is one of Malaysian States. Miri consist of a very important expat community with a strong Chinese character. Miri's old town around Jalan China in the west of the town is the most enjoyable area to wander. At the top of Jalan China, you will find a Chines temple and along it there is a wet fish market. An easily seen multiples of cafes and shops for you to wander.

Most of the tourist or trip organizers love to follow up with a trip to Gunung Mulu National Park which usually the main departure point is at Miri. Those who love to shop on rattan, textiles hadicraft, you can visit the popular Wisma Pelita shopping centre. There are english written books on Sarawak, Longhouse Handicraft Centre and lots of accessories.
